Last Friday, Karen Burke's cat Truck, got spooked somehow. Burke, lives in Sharbot Lake on Medical Centre Road, in a house she moved into a few months ago.
Truck climbed up a hydro pole in front of the house, all the way to the top.
Karen contacted the District 3 Fire Department for help, but they did not have the necessary equipment to do the job, so she was referred to NFTC, aka the North Frontenac Telephone Company.
A crew arrived, made an assessment, and decided to take a bag up to the top, where they placed the cat and brought him down to safety.
“I am so grateful to Grayson, John and Callum,” said Karen Burke.
“Great problem solving, great rescue, thank you.”
