The Kashwakamak Lake Association (KLA) will be holding it’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday July 12 at the Lions Hall in Northbrook. Doors open at 9:00 am, and the program runs from 9:30 – 11:30. You don’t need to be a KLA member to attend. Our keynote speakers include Fire Chief Casey Cuddy, North Frontenac Fire Department and Councillor Roy Heutl, Chair, North Frontenac Environmental Task Force. There will be an open Q&A with our key note speakers, Mayor Gerry Lichty and Councillor Stephanie Regent. We are encouraging people to bring non-perishable food and cash donations to support the Land O’Lakes Food Bank in Cloyne.

As part of the implementation of our Lake Sustainability Plan, we’ll draw this year’s three KLA property owner winners for a “Natural Edge” package (valued at $395 each). It includes a site visit from Watershed Canada to discuss your shoreline, a detailed personalized planting plan to help you improve your shoreline and a selection of plants to get you started!
