The Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three people with fraud and theft related offences in relation to an investigation of misuse of funds.
In July of 2022, an investigation commenced after police were contacted about the misuse of funds by the High Land Water Metis Council in Northbrook, Ontario. The investigation by the L&A County Crime Unit revealed nearly $90,000 had been fraudulently used. Charges were laid in May 2023 by the L&A County Crime Unit, against three individuals.
As a result of the investigation Robert LLOYD, 79 years old, of Addington Highlands Township, was arrested and charged with: Fraud over $5000, Theft over $5000.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on July 18, 2023.
As a result of the investigation Candace LLOYD, 54 years old, of Napanee, was arrested and charged with: Fraud over $5000, Theft over $5000.

As a result of the investigation Scott LLOYD, 51 years old, of Addington Highlands Township, was arrested and charged with: Fraud over $5000, Theft over $5000.
