We know that family and friends of people living with a diagnosis of dementia call themselves members of the club “no one wants to belong to”. “The Caregivers” film follows three families on a devastating but ultimately inspiring journey that many of us will be forced to take. The private lives of dementia caregivers teach us about love, loss and letting go.
Their stories go far beyond the practical challenges of navigating the healthcare system, and delve into the psychological challenges of coping with the illness.
The stories unfold over the course of a year, as they navigate the stages of an unpredictable and relentless disease.
The Alzheimer’s Society and Pine Meadow Nursing Home would like to invite you to the viewing of The Caregivers’ Club, February 28th, 2019 from 1:00-4:00 at Pine Meadow Nursing Home, 124 Lloyd Street, Northbrook, Ontario. Refreshments will follow.
