Feature Article - February 21, 2008 Heritage Festival UnderwayMany will remember the the heritage quilt exhibit at last years festival, hosted by Pamela Giroux
Central Frontenac Mayor Janet Gutowski and Town Crier Paddy O’Connor unveiled the latest in a series of historical murals by Rodger MacMunn at the Sharbot Lake Pharmacy on Tuesday, and in so doing opened the 2008 Frontenac Heritage Festival. The Moon Circle Drummers then performed in the warmth of the Oso Hall to formally inaugurate the festival, and a local authors’ night and pot luck followed. Events continue until Sunday in Sharbot Lake, Mountain Grove, Crow Lake, and Arden at various locations throughout the township. Note: A scheduled pancake breakfast on Saturday at the Sharbot Lake Fire Hall has been cancelled.
