On Saturday, March 15, District #4 Recreation Committee held its 4th Annual Easter Bunny Hop at Hinchinbrooke Public School. Town Crier Paddy O’Connor welcomed those in attendance and invited them to participate in a variety of events. There were Easter baskets to be made, bunny ears to be assembled, colouring pages to be completed, egg decorating to be done, and yummy cupcakes to be decorated. Five jars packed full of Easter candies were available to be won for those who were able to guess how many were inside; congrats to winners Gracie Hannah, Quinn Hannah, Emilie Hannah, Montana Marquette and Tangie Howes.
The much-anticipated arrival of the Easter Bunny brought smiles to the faces. Hugs and high 5’s were plentiful and the Easter Bunny led the Bunny Hop until the time had come to hop on its way but not before handing out 10 Lions Club Chocolate Bunnies to some very lucky children. Thanks Easter Bunny…see you next year!
Hats (or Easter Bonnets) off to the members of District #4 Recreation committee for yet another successful event and thanks to all those who came out to support this event or contributed in any way to making this happen. Special thanks to the seniors for the cupcakes – they were delicious!
