Feature Article - September 25, 2008 Sharbot Lake Karate brings home medalsOn September 20 many of the students of Sharbot Lake Karate participated in the Perth & District Martial Arts Tournament. It was an excellent day of fun learning and friend making and a first tournament for many of our students. With 23 Sharbot Lake participants we brought home 25 medallions as follows:
Kids White/Yellow Kata: 1st Ainsley MacDonald; 2nd Nick Alarcon-Belanger; 3rd Delaney MacDonald. Youth White/Yellow Kata: 1st Mikayla MacDonald; 3"* Luke Asselstine. Kids Orange/Yellow Kata: 1st Brianna Sergeant; 2nd Nicholas Power; 3rd Grace Cumpson. Youth Orange/Green Kata: 1st Cadence Cumpson; 2nd Adam Power; 3rd Samantha Sproule. Junior Belt Self Defence: 2nd Kyle Power. Senior Belt Self Defence: 3rd Daniel Powers. Kids White/Yellow Sparring: 2nd Levi Teal; 3rd Ainsley MacDonald. Kids Under 7 White Yellow Sparring: 2nd Jayden Sergeant; 3rd Megan Power. Youth White/Yellow Sparring: 1st Dustin Kelly; 2nd Jacob Brash; 3rd Mikayla MacDonald. Kids Orange/Green Sparring: 1st Brianna Sergeant; 2nd Nicolas Power. Youth Orange Green Sparring: 1st Kyle Power; 2nd Adam Power; 3rd Joel Howes.
A special mention to Grace Guigue for 4th place finishes in both Sparring and Kata. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
