Feature Article - August 2, 2007Frontenac County 'B' Division Champions
North Frontenac Mites played in their year-end tournament July 20 and 21 at Perth Road. The children played back-to-back games Friday night, taking one win against Sydenham and losing to the 1st place team, Battersea.
On Saturday they won against Harrowsmith, sending them on to the B division championship game against Sydenham. The hot weather didn't seem to affect the children. The team work and skills shown were what led to them earning their title.
Thanks to the dedicated parents for their help and support; to Jill and Denise Scott for donating hats for the children. Last but not least to the children, who make volunteering a rewarding experience. Have a great summer and we hope to see you all next year.
Congratulations to the North Frontenac Mites - Parham on winning the "B" division. Special thanks to coaches Stirling & Lisa Hamilton and assistants
