Arts by the Lake Show and Exhibit of fine craft

Arts By The Lake will be held on Saturday & Sunday, August 4 & 5, at the Sharbot Lake Beach, from 10 am 6 pm.

This year will see two great days of art and entertainment in Sharbot Lake at the beach off

Road 38, opposite the Sunsets Inn and beside the Medical Arts Building.

There will be live entertainment Rosanna Bylsma, Classical Guitar; Gord Struthers,

Classical Country Guitar; and Mitch Barker and his Country Band.

There will be activities for kids: anongoing castle building project every day, crafts to make and take, and story time......Please note that individual activities will end only when supplies run out.

And last but certainly not least the introduction of the newly established LAND O’ LAKES ARTISANS’ GUILD: Artists working in glass, wood, polymer clay, fibre art, sterling silver, photography, recycled cardboard art, painting, sculpture and MORE!

These fine artists are participating in the Great Toilet Roll Cover Challenge! To show that fine

art is multifaceted, the Guild has put forth this challenge to its artists to produce a toilet roll

cover in the medium of their choice. The finished covers will be displayed at the Guild Booth at the show. There will be a prize for the most outstanding entry.

Come one, come all! Two fabulous days of fun provide an opportunity to meet with your local

artists and find out all about their work.

The Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation has provided a financial contribution to Arts by the Lake through the Eastern Ontario Development Program’s Local Initiative Program. The objective of this program is to support activities that will stimulate the local economic, including tourism initiatives and events. The event is also being supported by the Land O’ Lakes Tourism Association, Brides Mills Studio and Sunsets Restaurant.
