Celebrate the Harvest with the Frontenac Farmers Market and Kingston Feed and Farm. Cornfest will be held on August 19th, from 8AM to 1PM at the Verona Lions Hall and will include some down home fun. Bring the children to enjoy the corn maze and play in the corn sandbox with the farm toys. Educational corn farming colouring books will be available at the market booth for $2.50. Savor summer with a corn boil and taste the many free samples of delectable corn dishes. Give your best guess at the number of corn kernels in the jar to win a basket of fresh local produce. "Kernel", the life-size corn on the cob mascot, may even be willing to give some hints! Finally, browse the many market booths and enjoy the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere while the market vendors share with you, a little bit of country life.
