Big success! That is the best way to describe the 2006-2007 Frontenac Flyers training camp. Approximately 36 players and prospects hit the ice for 6 on-ice sessions at the Strathcona Paper Centre in Napanee. Head coach, Pat Hilson and assistant coach, Gary Shillington, conducted the camp. They led the players through several drills and scrimmage games.General Manager, Mike MacDonald and newly hired assistant GM and former Flyer captain, Gavin Sheridan have recruited players from North Frontenac, Kingston, Midget teams, and as well have invited a handful of prospects from the Trenton area. "We have had a great response in our recruiting effort and we feel confident that we can identify a competitive team from this camp" said General Manager, Mike MacDonald. Overall, the training camp was a huge success, which was enjoyed by all. The GM and his coaching staff have some tough decisions ahead. "Each of these guys have come to camp in great condition and their desire to play for this team has been shown by their efforts on the ice. We have tough decisions for sure." Said GM, Mike MacDonald. Everyone is looking forward to the upcoming season, which starts October 1st VS The Amherstview Jets at Piccadilly Arena. Game time is 3:00pm. The Frontenac Flyers hope to see all the fans out to cheer them on!
