Jul 31, 2013
(March 3, 1928 - July 26, 2013)
With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Jim on Friday, July 26th, 2013. Jim’s final days were spent surrounded by love offered from family and friends whose lives he had touched so deeply. Beloved husband of the late Thelma Stinson. Much loved father of Beth Lowery (Ralph), Karen Oswald (Peter), Tom Clow (Crystal) Teresa Manion (Dean) Lynda Clow (Oliver). Hero of Heroes to his grandchildren and great grandchildren Nathan, Jeremy, Sarah, Jenna, Jordan, Jami, Jason, Luke, Darcy and James, Great grandchildren Zack, Cali, Jackson, Tristan N, Tristan C and Remi. He is survived by his brothers Harold (Jay), Robert, (Marjory), Charles (Donna), Doug, and sisters Vivian Hannah (the late Fred) and Martha McConnell (Roy). Jim was a tireless worker, giving freely of himself to his family and his community. Jim’s passions were family, the railroad, electrical work and hunting. Hunting season was Jim’s favourite time of year and whether they came home with or without game it didn’t matter. It was just a great time to be with his brothers. He was a member of the Parham Oddfellows and Rebeccas Lodge and spent many enjoyable Friday evenings working at the bingo games. Our family would like to acknowledge the staff of Kingston General Hospital Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit Kidd 2 for their excellent care and compassion to all of us. In keeping with Jim’s wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Goodfellows Funeral Home Parham. The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday July 31st 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held in the funeral home Thursday August 1st, 1 p.m. For those who wish, Memorial Donations may be made to Parham Oddfellows/Rebeccas lodge or to Parham United Church in memory of Jim. On line condolences at goodfellowsfuneralhome.com.
