I take great umbrage at the unbridled attack on the lowly groundhog that appeared in last week's Frontenac News Groundhog Editorial. At a time when the government of our country has abandoned the aim of any enhancement to the availability of jobs for an indigenous species of Canada, the editor of the Frontenac News proposes that the one job a groundhog can aspire to be banned!
I say this is preposterous! Allow the groundhogs of the world some dignity! What should be banned are attacks on lowly groundhogs!
