(Sydenham, ON – July 2, 2024) – The Lakes and Trails Festival returns to Point Park in Sydenham on Saturday, July 13 from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm.
The festival is a celebration of the natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities offered by the lakes and trails in South Frontenac.
There are a variety of outdoor activities, educational programs and family-friendly activities planned, including forest bathing in Frontenac Park, pickleball demonstrations, canoe skills clinics, supervised swimming, beach front programming, and yoga and Pilates fusion class.
There will also be guided paddles, trail runs and bike rides (helmets mandatory) in the morning on the Cataraqui Trail, face painting for kids from 10 am to 1 pm, and more as activities are added.
Parking will be available at Point Park and at Sydenham Library and municipal offices. Admission is free, but there are some activities that require pre-registration with a small fee and families are encouraged to bring cash for food vendors. If there is a full or partial beach closure, water activities will be adjusted as needed.
