On August 1, Merritta Parks turned 104 which called for a celebration! Merritta has been an active Resident Council President of Pine Meadow until just recently when she decided it was time to step down. Merritta enjoys going to Church Services and Bible Studies, daily exercise class, visiting with her friends and family and getting outside for walks and socials on nice days.
During Merritta’s celebration, she was presented with a certificate from MPP Ric Bresee, while being entertained by one of her favorites, and dear friend, Ray Whitelock! Surrounded by her friends within the home, Merritta gave a speech, thanking everyone for coming and shared some reflections on her 104 years. When asked for the secret to living a long and healthy life, her advice was to always turn to the Lord for guidance.
