Linda passed in Kingston Health Science Centre after a difficult decline. I’m grateful to the understanding and diligent staff on Connell 10 who made her as comfortable as possible. Linda was born and raised in Montreal. She moved to Toronto for her work life, where she excelled at the Bank of Montreal as a Manager of Conflict Resolution for the executive branch.
Retired to Little Long Lake with her husband, Ron Hipfner, where she lived for 21 years.
Earlier she was a fitness devotee and runner, including winning races.
Linda was a nature lover and always kept two cats, all adoptees or rescues.
She traveled the world and enjoyed adventures in exotic locales.
In Toronto, Linda volunteered with the Art Gallery of Ontario and Canadian Blood Services.
She also volunteered at the Kingston hospital until her mobility was impaired.
Linda’s siblings were Dorothy, Gail, Margaret, Tom, Victor, James and Steve.
Donations to the cause of dementia research would be appreciated.
Linda is missed.
