Doug passed away in hospital, Perth on Monday April 18th, 2016 after a short illness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (Joynt) Tysick and his parents Elwood and Helen (Buell) Tysick. He was the loved father of Brian (Linda) Tysick, Brent (Jo-Anne) Tysick and Tracy (Greg) Rogers and cherished grandfather of K atelynn, Lynessa and Isobella. Doug will be sadly missed by his brothers Gary Tysick and Joe (Darlene) Tysick, sister-in-law Inez (Gib) McGinnis, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Marvin Tysick and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lional and Shirley Joynt. Doug was a founder, former chief and strongly devoted member of the South Sherbrooke Fire Department for over 35 years. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St., West, Perth on Thursday April 28th, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Friday at 10:30 A.M. Interment St. Stephens Cemetery, Brooke. In remembrance of Doug, contributions to the South Sherbrooke Fire Department or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
