Snow Road Community Centre was filled with adoring fans last Thursday afternoon anxious to meet Prize Winning Canadian Author Elizabeth Hay. My daughter and I were two of the lucky people that got to enjoy the literary talents of the lovely Ms Hay. She did a reading from her latest release Snow Road Station and answered questions from the crowd. She brought along books to purchase and autograph, but they went quite quickly. Interestingly enough Elizabeth actually has a longtime family cottage in Ompah, but when the time came to name her newest creation, it was suggested that Snow Road Station was a great title and she obviously agreed. This novel is actually a sequel to His Whole Life, which she released back in 2015. I very much enjoyed listening to the incredibly exciting life Liz has led with her husband Mike, world travellers for sure. One thing remained constant for this couple though and that was the secluded little cottage that her parents purchased back in 1969 on Mosque Lake in Ompah. Thank you to Elaine Moffitt and her Book Club for organizing this wonderful event for our Community to enjoy!
