I was impressed that the Gould Lake Outdoor Education program held its 50th anniversary this August. With the budget cutbacks and ever-increasing safety restrictions, the Limestone Board should be proud of having maintained this unique outdoor program for so long. My husband and I noticed that there were five male directors, but no females in the picture attached to the article. Have there not been any female directors over the years or were they just unable to attend that day? Hopefully, there have been some. If not, it would great to see more female representation in that position to serve as a future role model for all youth in the outdoor field.
