I enjoyed your feature about the Cecropia moth. Shortly thereafter we had a helicopter spraying around a lake on our property, supposedly for gypsy moths. I have yet to see a gypsy moth caterpillar this year, or even a tent caterpillar. My concern is that the spray doesn't discriminate which caterpillars it kills. Even a Cepropia larvae. The helicopter flies from Chatham, it has sprayed here 6 times, this morning at 6AM, and directly over our house. The township informed me that there is no recourse as a private citizen. The company doesn't have to register its activities. Living close to Frontenac park I would think that they would be concerned about the natural order of things. Just saying.
