As of May 1, my rent increases $51 per mo. but our beloved Premier Wynne has cancelled the rent rebate for seniors so she can fund some education project, but that means, in my case, that I lose a monthly income of over $85, starting in July (or not starting as it were).. Again, I love my apartment, hope it will be my forever home, struggle to keep it neat and clean, but inflation and government and the oil industry (we need wheels to live here) are continuing to gouge and punish the most needy of the under-served, simply by ignoring our financial needs as we age.
