Outdoor Artisan Show on Labour Day Weekend, Maberly, Ontario.
The Sundance Artisan Show started 18 years ago in a garden in Maberly. A group of local artists decided it was way more attractive and economical for visitors to be able to visit them in one spot than the standard studio tours. This turned out to be a great concept which is still working.
The Sundance Artisan Show has since grown to become an outdoor art show featuring up to 40 artists in a beautiful riverbank setting in Maberly, Ontario. The show takes place during all three days of Labour Day weekend.
Peppered across two acres of forest, field, and riverfront, will be a diverse group of artisans specializing in various art forms: pottery, wood, sheet metal, stained glass, artisan soaps, fibre art, jewelry, clothing, blown glass, and many more. The artists have been working hard over the year, and are again ready to present to you their wonderful creations.
This year the majority of our artists are trained at various art school in Canada and abroad. Several also teach at local art schools. Beautiful pieces. It’s a true open air art exhibit.
Look out for demonstrations by participating artists. Rose Moses will do beading demos Sunday Sept 1, from 1-3pm.
Parking and entrance are free. Donations welcome.
The event will be open all 3 days of the September long weekend (Aug 31, Sept 1&2).
Hours: Sat. & Sun. 10am-5pm; Mon. 10am-2pm. Sundance is located at 126 Maberly Elphin Rd, Maberly, ON (at the intersection of HWY 7 and County Rd 36).
