"Your a Good Man Charlie Brown" at NAEC
Over the past several months, the senior drama class, a group of secondary students, and a number of teachers at North Addington Education Centre have been burning the midnight oil. The extra effort is going towards preparation of their unique version of a musical, Youre A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Based on the late Charles Schultzs comic strip, the schools final stage production of the year is led by drama and music teacher Kelli Caravan, who has dedicated a lot of time to ensuring that things are in order for the upcoming two-night run.
The main cast will include Andrew Cory as the irascible Charlie Brown, Danielle Andrew as Lucy Van Pelt, Kate Adams as Snoopy, and Ruth Kellar in the role of Sally Brown. Rounding out the main cast is Jennifer Gagne as Schroeder, and Shauna Cuddy in the part of Linus Van Pelt.
Choreography is under the direction of Sonya Nussberger, and Emily Palimaka designed the sets.
Show times are 7:00 p.m., on Thursday and Friday, June 12 and 13, in the main gymnasium at NAEC. Tickets are $7 for adults; $5 for children under 12, and may be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling Ms. Caravan at 336-8991.
The play promises to provide an evening full of comical entertainment, and this will be our last chance to see those students, who will be leaving upon graduation, in local stage action. So lets get out there and show support for the hard-working cast and crew of NAECs Youre A Good Man, Charlie Brown. See you there!
