The Kindness Garden has been completed in Cloyne. It is located on the south side of the Pioneer Museum between two memorial trees.
On June 20th, 6 NAEC classes travelled over to Benny Park to place their painted master pieces. Thank You to Mrs. Dunham, Mr. Jamison, Mrs. Wagar, Mrs. Roantree, Mrs. Carr and Mrs. Snider and all their creative students for helping me.
One grade 3 student made the comment that their rocks could potentially travel around the world with the number of people who visit our area. It's amazing to see the community coming together to create such a meaningful space. The idea of the rocks potentially traveling around the world is so heartwarming.
This project could not be possible without the support of the North Frontenac Township, and the Cloyne Historical society. A special heartfelt thank you to Ron Nowell construction for donating the rocks that our students painted. In the Bag Landscape products for donating the pea stone base for the rocks to sit on and Corinna’s Creations for making the beautiful sign that is displayed in the garden that says: “Take one when you need one, Share one with a friend in need, Leave one to spread kindness.”
We hope many people visit the garden and participate in spreading kindness by taking or leaving a rock. It's truly heartwarming to think about the joy these children's artworks can bring to others.
