Feature Article - July 19, 2007Soccer fundraising dance a success
by Lynette Whan
The Central Frontenac Soccer Association held their "Beach Bash" fundraising dance on Saturday night in Sharbot Lake. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who helped to make this event a success, including the volunteers who helped organize the dance, the community for coming out on Saturday night, the DJs, the bartenders, and the karaoke singers.
Thank You also to the local businesses who donated prizes, including L.D. Powersports, Heads or Trails, The Maples, Sunsets, Sharbot Lake and Silver Lake Provincial Parks, Sharbot Lake Lawn Service, and Sharbot Lake Pharmacy. With the community's continued support the association can grow and make soccer available to our area's youth for the future.
Out on the fields, we have only a few more weeks of play before our End-of-Season tournament in August. If you have any game highlights that you'd like share and then read in the News, call Lynette at 613-375-8282. Photo: Central Frontenac Soccer Association, Atom Division,
