The Minotaur is Missing from the Schoolhouse
Sometime during the evening of Saturday, May 26, the woven willow sculpture which has stood outside the Schoolhouse in McDonalds Corners since last May, was removed without a trace. It was noticed early Sunday morning when a group of McDonalds Corners residents gathered to finish making their woven coracles for the upcoming Celtic Labyrinth Festival in June. The sculpture is 10 feet high, supported by two-foot rods sunk into the ground. The minotaur was a central figure in the festival last year and is an integral part of this year's celebration. Members of the Schoolhouse are offering a reward to anyone with information leading to the recovery of this unique sculpture.
