It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Wendy Mary Catherine Roback (Mahoney), at the age of 77 years. Wendy passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Perth Hospital on August 28, 2025.
She was the beloved ‘WIFEY’ of Van E. Roback for 53 years, residing in Cloyne, ON. Loving mother to her daughter, Kimberly Roback-Coker of Perth, ON and her son, Kevin Roback of Lansdowne, ON (Céline Quesnel). Special Grandma to Hunter E. Coker and Quinten V. Stevenson. Wendy was born on April 4, 1948 in Ottawa, ON, to the late John W. and Hermina M. Mahoney (nee: McGee). Dear sister to Susan V. Mahoney and sister-in-law to Faye Roback-Jones. Daughter-in-law to the late Bernice M. Roback. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Wendy’s life was well-lived, built on the foundation of family first. She was selfless and there to help others when needed. An avid water-skier in her younger days, her favourite place was being by the water. She also took pride in her vegetable garden. Most recently, she enjoyed overlooking the lake, watching the Hummingbirds come to the feeder, as well as doing her puzzles. Wendy will be missed and forever be in our hearts.
Special thank you to the Perth and Smiths Falls Hospital nursing and medical staff for the wonderful care given to Wendy over the recent months. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital or Canadian Lung Association is much appreciated
A Celebration of Life will take place at Cole Funeral Services & Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Rd, Carp on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 12:30p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
