Canada Day in Harrowsmithby Wilma KenneyHarrowsmith Social and Athletic Club is planning a bang-up celebration this July 1, according to Doug Hodgson, this years chair. The parade begins at 10:00 am, going from Centennial Park down the back street and up Hwy. 38 to the park again. The rest of the day will be filled with events for the whole family, including baseball, soccer, childrens games and lots of music by local and area musicians, ending with fireworks after dark. Theres no admission charge: most of the expenses will be covered by the food concessions and donations from local businesses and individuals.
