Local students gets a kick at the canby Jean CampbellLocal Godfrey junior athlete Billy Peters, a Sydenham High School student, is looking forward to representing Canada at the World Billiard Championships in Kachsuing, Taiwan from July 3 to 5. He has been told it will be televised.
Bill is 16 years old and has three more years to play in the junior division. Bill and his dad, Bill Fraser, would like to thank the many business and individuals in Verona and surrounding areas for their support over the years, which has enabled Bill to compete across Canada and in the USA. Anyone wishing to sponsor Bill can do so at Moms Restaurant, Revell Motors, Brooks IGA, Toppers Convenience, Gale Real Estate and Bravo Restaurant.
