Break in at Grand Computers in Flintonby Jeff Green Sometime between Saturday afternoon on December 28 and Monday morning on December 30, the premises at Grand Computer Services in Flinton were broken into and a significant amount of equipment was stolen.

Julie Grand, who is a partner in the business with her husband Jamie, said she didnt notice things were missing when she first opened the store on Monday, assuming her husband had taken some things to Grand Computers other location in Tweed. But then I noticed that the cash box was gone and began to realize how much other stuff was gone.

Among the stolen items are 2 CDRW drives, a Fuji digital camera, a mother board, 4 speakers, two web cameras and a quantity of blank CDs.

We are fortunate that no complete systems were taken, but the fact that we live just metres from the store makes the whole thing very upsetting. Julie Grand also said that usually the neighbour across the street would have heard or seen anything that had taken place, but they happened to be away at the time.

According to the OPP, one of the stolen items has been recovered. It was found behind the recreational centre in Flinton. They also say they have some suspects in the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
