SLHS senior boys Volleyball team wins 3-1 over Napanee

Competition stiffens in late season

After losing the first set in front of a home town crowd, the Sharbot Lake Senior Boys came back to win the next three sets over Napanee High School, improving their KASAA record to 7 and 2 as the end of the season nears and the playoff picture develops. The SLHS team lost to Ernestown at home last week 3-1, with the last two sets going into extra points in order for one team to get ahead by two. They also lost to Limestone Collegiate Vocational Institute, also 3-1, earlier in the season. They are still to play Kingston Collegiate Vocational Institute (KCVI) in league play. They have both beaten and been beaten by KCVI in exhibition tournament action. Earlier in the season, coach Bob Seitz said the teams to beat for SLHS would be KCVI, LCVI and Ernestown, and SLHS will have to dig deep and maintain their composure to move through to the finals at the KASAA tournament next month.
