What to do with George?

by Janis Lantz

George W. Bush is a right wing ideologue with delusions of grandeur. Most countries in the world are warning him not to go to war with Iran. Not since the Cuban missile crisis has the world been in such peril, but W. is not listening. He is listening to a group of other ideologues who are mad with power. But how to get George to stop his war rattle? There are three ways to get a person off the streets. One, arrest them. That goes nowhere because a lawyer can easily get the person out in a few hours. And, anyway, George hasn't done anything against the law, yet. Two, assassinate them. That certainly has been the American way. But it's messy and who wants blood on their hands?Three, institutionalize them. One psychiatrist with a pen can throw someone in the "booby hatch" for being a danger to themselves or others. Doesn't sound so far-fetched, does it? Perhaps there could be a corps of psychiatrists under the banner of the UN who could commit any world leader to an institution for thinking about crimes against humanity. They could start with Sharon and Arafat, then move on to the leader of North Korea or Kadafi of Libya. Oh! I forgot. The UN just made him the head of Human Rights. It's a strange, strange world. Hold on. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
