Santa Claus comes to Sharbot Lake and Parhamby David BrisonThe Sharbot Lake Lions hosted two Santa Claus parades on the weekend: in Sharbot Lake on Saturday, and Sunday in Parham. Both were spirited parades, complete with marching bands. The St. Lawrence Drum and Bugle Corps marched in Parham, and the Perth Citizens Band, which bills itself as Canadas oldest town band, in operation since 1852, marched in Sharbot Lake. The Citizens Band also gave a concert on the steps of the Oso Community Hall following the parade.

A jolly old Santa, who again this year sounded suspiciously like someone from a Land O Lakes community organization, had a chance to get in plenty of Ho, Ho, Hoes in Sharbot Lake and on the ride from Tichborne to Parham.

After both parades, there were hot dogs and hot chocolate for everyone.
