RCMP search Central Frontenac homesby David BrisonOn Thursday March 28, at 8 a.m. the RCMP simultaneously searched the homes of Gisele Beaupre in Sharbot Lake, Leo and Donna Beaupre in Tichborne, and Paul Beaupres home on Wolfe Lake in Godfrey. A search warrant for Grandmas Country Kitchen in Sharbot Lake was also exercised.

Documents were seized during the search and removed by the RCMP.

The searches were part of an ongoing investigation of Global Silver and some other allegedly related companies.

Readers will recall that in an interview with The News (February 27), Paul Beaupre stated that he invested money in Global Silver and lost that money when Global Silver declared bankruptcy. Paul claimed that there was no connection between Global Silver and Grandmas Country Kitchen, owned by his mother Gisele, or between himself and his mothers restaurant.

No arrests have been made. The RCMP is continuing the investigation.
