North Frontenac Growth Continues

Plevna The numbers indicate that North Frontenac has continued its pattern of growth in 2002, as evidenced by the Building Department report issued at Councils last meeting here.

To date, 186 building permits have been issued for the year. This brought in just over $54,000 in relative fees, with the value of construction being set at $4.6 million. The types of buildings have been varied, with two classed as residences, and 36 as seasonal residences. There were 45 additions, 46 accessory structures, 36 decks, and 21 permits were issued for structures identified as other.

The Building Department report would appear to confirm the commonly-held local belief that, along with Baby Boomers entering retirement, more and more people are moving to the Land OLakes area, contributing to our population growth.
