Editorial: Whatever happened with..?by Will Cybulski Whatever happened withNorth Frontenac Townships Official Plan?Information that I was given indicates that the plan is still not quite, well, Official. Following the public consultation process earlier this year, the Review Committee met with the municipalitys consultant to resolve some differences. A follow-up meeting between the two entities is scheduled for October 24.

...Whatever happened withNorth Frontenacs application for a disaster area declaration, leading to the possibility of some Provincial relief money to clean up the mess left behind by the microburst storm on August 2?

To date, nothing reportable! It was initially held out that a government decision might be forthcoming in mid-September, and we could perhaps expect an answer by the end of that month. Despite ongoing queries by our municipal reps, still no definitive reply, and it is already October.

...Whatever happened withour waste disposal sites switch-over to winter hours?

Alls well there, and that will take effect post-Thanksgiving weekend.

...Whatever happened withNF Councils round the Township traveling meetings from the summer. Council meetings are now back at the municipal building on Road 506, with the first meeting of the month (second Monday) taking place at 7 p.m. and the second meeting of the month (fourth Monday) starting at 9:30 a.m. For October, thats the 14th at 7 p.m. and the 28th at 9:30 a.m.
