Edith and Gter Nitche (credits for aerial photos - Masthead and "The Good New Days in Arden"), retired in 1991 and immigrated to Arden from Germany. Edith took the photos and Guenter piloted the plane. In Germany, Edith worked for the German printery, where paper money and stamps are printed. Guenter has learned to fly since coming to Canada and is a member of the Kingston Flying Club. Edith is an avid photographer. David Brison (contributes weekly), as editor of the NewsWeb. He first came to this area as a cottager (Pine Island, Bob's Lake) in the early 50s. For the last 15 years he has lived at the bottom of a very steep hill north of the Bell Line Road near Zealand.

Laurel Grills has contributed two articles to the NewsWeb (Headwaters and Zebra Mussels). She will continue to write articles on the environment for us. Laurel is a graduate of the Trent University Environmental and Resource Studies Program. She has 13 years experience with the Ministry of the Environment, the Frontenac Health Unit, and presently with Mississippi Valley Conservation where she heads up the Watershed Watch Program, in partnership with the Mississippi Valley Lake Stewardship Network (See On the Lakes and Watershed Watch Stewards Meeting.) The stories appearing in the NewsWeb under her by-line, are her own and do not represent the Conservation Authority. She is an outdoor enthusiast - kayaks and canoes on the lakes in our region. Laurel is president of the Crosby Lake Association and the mother of two children. Marcel Giroux (The Library in the Community), since retiring as a guidance counsellor at SLHS has joined W. A. Robinson and Associates. He chairs the Kingston Frontenac Public Library Board and the 911 committee for Central and North Frontenac. He formerly was both a Reeve and Deputy Reeve in Oso Township.

Marsden Kirk (Area News from Arden, 911 Implementation Update) is a retired chartered accountant living near Arden. He chairs both the Central Frontenac Recreation Committee and the Kennebec Recreation Sub- Committee. He is an active volunteer on the 9.1.1. Implementation Committee. Lloyd Jones (The Hungry Woodpecker, Realities in the Life of a Coyote, Shivareeing on a Cold Night, The Trepid Aviator - a book review), was born at Crow Lake and graduated from Sharbot Lake High School. He is the author of The Dammed Lakes - an environmental history of Crow and Bobs Lakes. A retired school superintendent, he divides his time between his home in Stirling and a cottage on Crow Lake.Audree Tomkins(Reflections on Moving to the Bush - 20 years after), retired and moved with her husband Fred to Arden 20 years ago. In Ottawa, she was an arts administrator for a school of 600 ballet and dance students and a touring ballet company.Peter Wadham(A Walk Through the Village of Arden), is a professional engineer who worked for Telesat. He uses sophisticated digital equipment to take both still and video pictures. He has created video presentations for the Arden Seniors Club. This is his first photo-journalistic essay.
