St. Paul's United Church to Host Quilt ExhibitionIt all started when Shelly Lasalle of Wilton Creek Fabrics in Harrowsmith told Brenda Crawford one day that she would like to host a Quilt exhibition now that her business has become well established.

Brenda suggested contacting her church, and the Quilts n Tea exhibition was born. This Saturday, between 10 am and 2 pm, a large number of quilts, some made by Shellys quilting students, some historic quilts from the early 20th and 19th century, and even some quilts by artist Linda Hetherington will be on display at St. Pauls Church on Road 38 in Harrowsmith.

The event is both a quilt exhibition and a fundraiser for the church, Along with the quilts, a luncheon will be served, including sandwiches, salads and desserts. This is all included in the $5 admission fee, which will be donated to the church.

For Shelly Lasalle, it is an opportunity for her students to show off their work, and a chance to celebrate the quilting history of the region. All manner of quilting has been solicited for the show, and the public will be invited to vote for the three viewers choice award winning quilts on display, with prizes being donated by Wilton Creek Fabrics.
