VILLAGES BEAUTIFUL organizes and
runs the Festival of Trees at Christmas and
the proceeds are shared between the villages
of Central Frontenac. The money is used
to buy flowers and trees in the various
villages and these are maintained by an
army of volunteers during the summer. For

AFTERSCHOOL YOUTH PROGRAMS,
Youth Afterschool Programs run September
to June! Come and enjoy sports, games or a
time to hang out with friends. Programs are

on Mondays at St. James Catholic School
for grades 4 to 8; Aboriginal afterschool (all
welcome), The Child Centre for ages 6 to
10. Tuesdays at Clarendon Centre PS for
grades 1 to 6; Wednesdays at Prince Charles
Public School, Verona, ages 9 and up ;
Thursdays at Land O’Lakes PS for grades 5
to 8; Friday at The Child Centre ages 6 to
10. All programs are held from 3pm to 5pm.
Youth are encouraged to dress appropriately
for indoor and outdoor activities. For more

CONNECTIONS ADULT LEARNING
CENTRES – offers a wide variety of training
opportunities for adults and youth 16 and
over through its two sites, Sharbot Lake and
Northbrook. Through our programs, people
can learn skills to improve their personal
lives, go on to further education, or prepare
for the workplace. Computer training here
is very popular, learn everything from the
basics of computers, emails and internet,
to digital photography, Microsoft Office
programs and advanced accounting software
like QuickBooks. • Credit courses through
the Limestone District School Board are
available at both our sites. • Those who are
interested in College courses find our e-lab
an excellent way to access online courses
offered by OntarioLearn, a consortium of
