4 welcome

central frontenacCentral Frontenac Township

Central Frontenac is a welcoming community with numerous lakes, rivers, rocks and streams and we provide a range of activities for all to enjoy. There is something for everyone, whether it is hiking, camping, relaxing at a cottage or joining in by attending a music event, attending the farmers’ market or just sitting on a beach and enjoying the scenery.

We encourage residents and visitors to explore the 2015 guide and plan to attend some or all of the activities we have to offer.

We appreciate this beautiful area and will happily share it with you!!!

Mayor Central Frontenac

North Frontenac has natural beauty, wildlife and many outdoor seasonal activities. The tranquility and outdoor sports is what most residents and visitors love about the area. Enjoy our large network of trails and our pristine lakes and rivers. Our North Frontenac Park Lands include 184 backcountry campsites nestled along the shores of 12 lakes. Experience our outdoor recreation from the solitude of a canoe trip down our many lakes and rivers to the
adrenalin rush of shooting rapids in a kayak. Take a leisurely and relaxing scenic drive along the “Four Seasons Scenic Route” and enjoy those rare sightings of nature at its finest.

North Frontenac is the first municipality in Canada to acquire designation as a dark sky preserve, which includes a Dark Sky viewing pad with amenities such as parking, washroom, electrical service and a concrete pad. It is located at 5816 road 506.
