Letters: December 2Firefighters save us $300, Glenys Bender Firefighters save us $300Our house insurance has dropped by $300 thanks to the accreditation recently achieved by our firefighters. As reported in the Frontenac News on November 4, Fire Protection Survey Services granted our firefighters a water tanker shuttle accreditation. “This accreditation will benefit residents living within an 8km distance of any of the four fire stations in Central Frontenac, who may qualify for a reduction in their insurance premium.” While our insurance company did receive notification of the new accreditations, it was forced to proceed on the basis of postal code information. The company strongly advised clients to call their insurers personally “as they might fall through the cracks”. We are delighted with the news of this early Christmas present and want to thank our fire department for proceeding with this very valuable accreditation. Glenys Bender |
