Vandals deface Long Lake beach sign

Members of the Long Lake Property Owners' Association have been lobbying Central Frontenac Council for two years for a proper sign at Long Lake Beach. Finally they had success, and just in time for Canada Day a township crew installed the sign at the beach. But before all the association’s members had even had a chance to view the sign, it was defaced. Sometime between Friday, July 2 and Sunday, July 4, someone pelted rocks at the sign and ripped the bottom part of the message right off. Members of the Long Lake Association have decided to offer a $100 reward for information about who damaged the sign. Anyone with information is asked to call 613-375-6270
