North Frontenac Little Theatre:
Beyond Reasonable Doubt

By Nina Jenkins

Rehearsals for the play “Beyond Reasonable Doubt” are progressing well. Actors are busy learning lines and stage positions because in three short weeks they will be performing it for the public. For this play the auditorium will be set up differently than for other plays we have done. For that reason seating will be limited to 100 people per show. It would be a good idea to buy your tickets in advance to be sure of getting them. If you can't get to one of the ticket outlets you should call Nina at 613-279-2945 for info on ticket availability.

The first act takes place in a court room, while in Act II the actors are in the defendant's home. I won't tell you about the plot other then to say that there is much suspense right up to the end of the play when the mystery will be resolved. If you like mysteries and suspense then you should come out to see this play.

A number of the actors in this show have performed in other NFLT plays and we also have a few newcomers who are excited about being part of this cast. They are putting in many hours memorizing lines and cues and many evenings in rehearsals.

“Beyond reasonable Doubt” will be performed from Thursday to Saturday, Oct. 22 to 24 at 7:30pm every evening in the Sharbot Lake High School auditorium, with a 2pm matinee on Sunday Oct 25. Tickets are $12 adults, $10 students, and are available at Gray's Grocery and Sharbot Lake Pharmacy in Sharbot Lake and at Verona Rona Hardware. Hope to see you at Sharbot Lake High School.
