June is Alzheimer Awareness Monthby Candace Bertrim, Public Education Coordinator, Alzheimer Society - Sharbot LakeOn behalf of the Alzheimer Society, Sharbot Lake office, I am pleased to say that I have been extremely busy since our opening in April 2009. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the North and Central Frontenac communities as the Public Education Coordinator for the Alzheimer Society. The Alzheimer Society offers:
Office hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9AM – 4PM at the Seniors Centre, 1042 Elizabeth Street, Sharbot Lake. 613-279-WELL (9355). June is Alzheimer Awareness Month. Please look for a local donation drop-off in your area during the month of June or drop in to the office anytime. Donations can also be mailed directly to the Alzheimer Society of Kingston for a taxable receipt. I look forward to working with all clients, families and caregivers of those living with Alzheimer's and a Related Dementia. Understanding the behaviours can help with the challenges we face along the journey. There is help for today and hope for tomorrow. |
