It was an amazing weekend of hockey for the Frontenac Fury Midget C Girls! “The team had one game and one practice prior to entering the tournament in Napanee,” says Kevin Hitchcock, head coach. “Our second place finish among teams that have regular practices and regular games together proves that talent, team work and the desire to win can produce amazing results.”

The girls went undefeated in the tournament, entering the finals with a 4 and 0 record. The final match up between the Fury and the Ottawa Ice was a nail biter, with the only goal (Ottawa Ice) coming with only one minute and 32 seconds left in the 3rd period. The Fury pulled their goalie hoping to tie up the game, but the Ice scored on the open net to win the final 2-0.

Game Results: Fury 3 – Ottawa 1; Fury 4 – Picton 0; Fury 4 – Percy 0; Fury 2 – Picton 1; Fury 0 – Ottawa 2.

Girls, good luck in the Pembroke Regional Silver Stick in December!
