Sydenham Car Fire

By Wilma Kenny

Around 2 pm on March 5, a gentleman living at one of the seniors apartments in Sydenham, realizing he hadn't driven his car for a while, decided to take it out for a spin. When smoke began to pour from beneath the dash, he pulled over across the road from the Sydenham Food Market, and jumped out. Shortly thereafter, the car was engulfed in flames. The Loughborough fire department quickly arrived and extinguished the fire. No one was injured.
