Wanted! Hot Women:

LOLCS is hosting The Hottest Women in Towna free information session that helps women deal with health issues surrounding menopause. Kingston Frontenac Lennox & Addington Public Health will present the information at the Barrie Township Hall in Cloyne on June 6 from 6-9 p.m. To register please call LOLCS at 613-336-8934. Prepare yourself for the changes of menopause. This will be a fun and informative evening.

Big Bike Success:

LOLCS staff and volunteers raised over $2500.00 for Heart & Stroke. On May 12, approximately 23 people rode the Big Bike on behalf of our organization. The mood was sunny even though the weather was damp. For those who may think the bike operates with a motor, wrong! It’s pedal power all the way.

Adult Protective Services – Zoo trip:

Participants of the Adult Protective Services program travelled to the Metro Toronto Zoo on May 16. Once again, the weather was damp but spirits were not. Everyone had a great time – although maybe a little tired from all the walking!

Summer Community Bus Trips:

The community bus will be busy this summer. There are a number of trips planned to various locations; be sure to mark these dates on your calendar. Bancroft – June 15, Pembroke – June 29, Belleville – July 13, Picton – July 27, Kingston – August 10, and Renfrew – August 24. The cost is $10.00/person. To book a seat call Peggy at 336-8736 or Kay at 333-2731.

Annual General Meeting:

The LOLCS annual general meeting will be held at the Northbrook Lions Hall on Tuesday June 20, at 7 pm. Watch for more news to follow about this event.
